People keep asking me for the short version of what beMYN does, so here it is in one place. Each section links to a longer post if you want the details.
The invite itself
Every event gets one link and one page: a big cover, the date and place, who's hosting, and who's going. You pick a cover photo from your phone or from Unsplash, and you can give the whole page its own background and 3D decor. More on that in picking a look for your invite.
Who can see it
Events can be public, unlisted or private. Public ones show up on Discover. Unlisted ones work for anyone with the link. Private ones need the invite link to open at all. The differences are laid out in public, unlisted or private.
RSVPs
- Going, Maybe, Can't go. Turn Maybe off if you want a firm answer.
- Plus-ones. Guests add people by name, up to the limit you set.
- Questions. Short answer, yes or no, or multiple choice. See RSVP questions worth asking.
- Deadline. An RSVP-by date shows right on the invite.
Headcount control
Set a capacity, turn on a waitlist, and require approval if you want to confirm each guest. Waitlisted guests move in automatically when a spot opens. The full walkthrough is in how to cap your guest list.
Staying in touch
Post updates and polls on the event page. Updates are emailed to guests who are going or maybe, and texted to anyone who asked for texts. Details in sending event updates by text and email.
After the party
Hosts and guests who went can add photos to a shared gallery on the event page. See collecting everyone's photos in one place.
Hosting with others
Add co-hosts by email and choose what each one can do. If they don't have an account yet, they get an invite. Here's how co-hosting works.

Do guests need an account to see an invite?
No. Anyone with the link can open an unlisted or public invite. Guests sign in to RSVP so their answer is saved to them.
Can I limit how many people come?
Yes. Set a capacity, turn on a waitlist, and optionally approve each guest yourself.
