Picking a look for your invite (and why we added a Shuffle button)
Every event on beMYN can have its own background and a bit of 3D decor. Here's how we think about choosing one, and when to just hit Shuffle.

When we rebuilt the invite page this summer, the thing people asked about most wasn't RSVPs or capacity. It was "can my party look like my party?" Fair question. A rooftop birthday and a baby shower shouldn't open on the same grey screen.
So every event now carries its own look: a moving background and, if you want it, some decor floating over it. Balloons, confetti, a disco ball, lanterns, that kind of thing. Your guests see exactly what you picked the moment they open the link, and the rest of the app stays plain so your invite is the only thing that gets dressed up.
Start with the feeling, not the occasion
We deliberately didn't sort the decor into "birthday" and "wedding" buckets. Balloons work for a product launch. Petals work for a book club. Think about how you want people to feel when they open it. Cozy? Go with Lantern and some paper lanterns. Loud? Neon with the synthwave grid is hard to beat. Calm and clean? Frost or Prism on a light background.
Make sure the words still read
Every background has been tested so text stays readable on top of it, but your cover photo matters too. If you're using a busy photo, pick a quieter background so the two aren't fighting. If there's no photo, that's where the louder themes really shine.
When you can't decide, hit Shuffle
Next to the Publish button there's a Shuffle button. It picks a random background and decor, and it never gives you the same pair twice in a row. I use it more than I'd like to admit. Three or four taps and something usually clicks. If you want to choose by hand, the palette button right beside it opens the full list.
You can change the look any time from the edit page. Everyone with the link sees the new one on their next visit.
