Buy or claim tickets
How guests get free or paid tickets from an invite, what the total includes, and where to find your QR tickets and invoice afterwards.
Updated
When an event uses tickets, the invite shows a Tickets section instead of RSVP buttons. Getting a ticket is your RSVP.
Get tickets
- Open the invite. If you're not signed in, tap Sign in to get tickets and sign in or create an account, so your tickets are saved to you.
- Use + and - next to each ticket to choose how many you want.
- Check the Total at the bottom. If the host passes fees on to buyers, tap the line under it (like Includes $2.52 in fees) to see the ticket price, the beMYN service fee and Card processing.
- For free tickets, tap Get tickets. You go straight to My tickets, with your new tickets on it.
- For paid tickets, tap Buy tickets with the total next to it. You're taken to Stripe's secure checkout to pay by card, or with Apple Pay or Google Pay where your device offers them.
- After paying, you land on My tickets, which says You're going. above your tickets. If the payment is still confirming, it says Getting your tickets ready and shows them as soon as they arrive, with no need to refresh. If it takes longer than usual, we email them to you as soon as they're ready.
The total you see before checkout is exactly what your card is charged. Your tickets are held for 10 minutes while you pay.
After you get tickets
- We email your tickets to the address on your account, with a View your tickets button that opens My tickets.
- Find your tickets any time under My tickets in the Account menu, or at the top of your Home page under Your tickets (tap a ticket to see its QR codes). The invite also shows View tickets once you have some.
- Paid orders show on your card statement with a short version of the event name.
Your tickets on My tickets
Every ticket is its own card with a QR code. Show the QR code at the door and the host scans it to let you in. Tickets are grouped by event, with upcoming events first (soonest at the top), then past and cancelled ones. Each ticket lies on its side: the QR code on the left, the details on the right. On a bigger screen they sit two across.
| On the ticket | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Cover | The event's cover photo across the top, when the host added one |
| QR code | Your entry code, with beMYN in the middle. Each code admits one person, once. |
| Event and ticket type | The event name, with the ticket type (like General admission) under it |
| Date and Time | When the event starts, in the event's time zone |
| Guest | The name the ticket is for |
| Ticket | Which ticket it is in the order, like 2 of 3 |
| Reference | A short code at the bottom of the ticket, in capitals |
| Stamp on the ticket | What it means |
|---|---|
| Checked in | This ticket has already been scanned at the door. |
| Refunded | The host refunded this ticket. It no longer admits anyone. |
| Void | This ticket is no longer valid, for example after a payment dispute. |
| Cancelled | The host cancelled the event. |
A screenshot of the QR code works at the door too, so you can show your ticket without a signal. Each code still admits only once.
Add a ticket to your phone's wallet
When available, each ticket has an Add to Apple Wallet button (iPhone, iPad and Mac) or an Add to Google Wallet button (Android) under it. Other computers may show both. The wallet pass carries the same QR code as the ticket, so you can scan in from your wallet. Refunded or void tickets and tickets to cancelled events have no wallet button.
Your invoice
- On My tickets, tap a ticket. Its order's Invoice opens.
- The invoice shows the order Status, Sold by (the host, through beMYN), Billed to (your name and email), the Order date and order number, and each item with its quantity and price.
- For paid orders it lists the Subtotal, the beMYN service fee and Card processing (when you paid the fees), Total paid, and Refunded if any money came back to you.
- Tap Print or save PDF to print it or save it as a PDF from your browser's print window.
Under the invoice, Tickets in this order lists each ticket with its holder and a status: Valid, Checked in, Refunded or Void. Tap My tickets at the top to go back to your QR codes.
When lots of people are buying
If an event is very busy, you may see You're in line with how many people are ahead of you. Keep the page open. It tries again on its own and moves you to checkout when it's your turn.
| What the ticket shows | What it means |
|---|---|
| Sold out | None left of that ticket. |
| 3 left | Only a few are left (shown at 10 or fewer). |
| Sales haven't started | The host set a sales start time that hasn't arrived yet. |
| Sales have ended | The sales window closed or the event is over. |
| Not on sale / Not on sale yet | The host paused this ticket or hasn't opened paid sales yet. |
Common questions
Can I get a refund?
The host's refund policy shows under the Buy tickets button. Ask the host for a refund; they issue it from their orders. See refunds and cancellations.
How many tickets can I buy?
Up to the host's limit per ticket, and 20 tickets per order at most.
Which time zone are my ticket and invoice in?
The event's own time zone, written next to every time (for example 7:00 p.m. EDT), including when you bought it. Wallet passes show the same local time.
I paid but don't see my tickets.
Payment can take a moment to confirm. Refresh My tickets, which you can open from the Account menu.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No. Show the QR code on your phone, from My tickets, your wallet or a screenshot. Printing works too.
Where do I get a receipt?
Tap your ticket on My tickets to open the invoice, then tap Print or save PDF.
