Choosing a cover photo for your event invite
What makes a good invite cover, where to find one, and how to make it work with your event's look.

The cover is the first thing anyone sees when they tap your link, and it does a lot of work. It tells people what kind of night it is before they read a word.
Use a real photo when you have one
A photo of the actual place, or of the person you're celebrating, beats any stock image. Upload it straight from your phone when you create the event.

Leave room for the title
The title and date sit on the bottom of the cover. Photos with the interesting bit near the top, or a lot of sky, look best. A face right in the middle will end up behind the text.
Match it to the look
A busy photo and a busy background compete. Pair a colourful cover with a calmer theme, or skip the cover and let a louder theme and some decor carry it.
