What to send your guests the week of the party
Most of the stress before an event is in the last seven days. A few short updates and one quick poll save you a pile of individual texts.

I've hosted enough things now to know the invite is the easy part. The week before is where it gets messy. Someone asks where to park. Someone else asks if they should bring anything. Four people ask what time again. By Friday your phone is a mess of the same question asked twelve ways.
Here's the rhythm I've settled into. It's not fancy, and it works.
Seven days out: the one real question
If there's a decision you actually need the group to make, ask it now, as a poll. Pizza or tacos. Start at 7 or 8. Rooftop or the backup room if it rains. On beMYN you post a poll right from the Updates box on your event page, guests pick an option, and they can change their mind until you close it. You'll know the answer in a day instead of a week.
Three days out: logistics, once
Post one update with everything people need to physically get there: the exact address, where to park, which door, the buzzer code. Write it like you're texting a friend, not writing a memo. Guests who are going or maybe get it by email, and anyone who asked for texts gets it on their phone too.

Day of: short and warm
One line the morning of. "See everyone at 7, can't wait." That's it. It reminds the forgetful ones without nagging, and it sets the tone.
Two things I try not to do: send more than three updates in a week, and use updates for things that only matter to one person. Those still belong in a direct message.
