Capacity and the waitlist

Cap your headcount, let a waitlist fill empty spots automatically, and promote guests by hand.

Updated

  1. In Event options, tap Capacity.
  2. Enter the maximum number of people, plus-ones included.
  3. Turn on Enable waitlist so extra RSVPs queue instead of being turned away.
  4. Tap Save.

How the waitlist moves

  • When the event is full, new Going responses join the waitlist in the order they arrive.
  • When a spot frees up (someone declines, is removed, or you raise capacity), the first party in line that fits moves in automatically and is emailed.
  • A party that doesn't fit is skipped, not split, so a smaller party behind it can take the space.
  • If approval is on, promoted guests become Pending for you to approve.

Promote someone yourself

Open Guests, choose the Waitlist tab to see everyone numbered in line with their party size, and tap Give a spot. beMYN checks there's room first.

Common questions

Without a waitlist, what happens when the event is full?

New guests see that the event is at capacity and can't RSVP Going.
